September 2021

September was a pretty good month. We spent time together before Nick left. Emma, Liam and I regularly went for an evening walk and collected flowers. 

There is a home being built about 1/2 mile from us. The workers all stay in it and this young mother and her daughter are there as well. Every morning, she is there cooking breakfast over this fire for them. 

This house down our street has been sold, but unoccupied since we got here. This month, they bought some furniture for it. They also covered every door and window with metal except the front door. They must be scared of a break in while they aren’t there. I’m worried about being trapped inside when there is a fire. 

We saw our first tarantula. I hate spiders. Enough said!
