Thankful
At the beginning of the week, the leader of our church asked us to all take part in a social media challenge to remember what we were thankful for. We wanted our kids to be able to participate as well, but they don’t have social media accounts. Instead, we decided to have them share on our blog. Here is what we are thankful for this year.
Dennis-Heather, good friends, gospel specifically the Savior, Charmin toilet paper, repentance, and the right tool for the job.
Heather- beds, Dennis, my kids, exercise, days when it doesn’t rain so our clothes can dry, curtains, and a convection oven.
Nick-bed/furniture, meat especially beef, cold water, my mom, seminary, and good friends.
Ben-we are all in the same house again, toilet paper, the sun, the weather is cooler lately, ice, fans, and running water.
Emma-technology to connect, family and friends, our house, our car, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Liam-family, food/supplies we buy here, technology, that we could have Thanksgiving, and safety when we moved.
Liam made us some fun origami napkin pieces for our Thanksgiving table.
Our move has help shift our focus from entitlement to thankfulness. It is the small things we are thankful for: our bed and pillows, the curtains, a fridge that’s considered large for India, an automatic washing machine, fans, cold drinkable water, ice, and food we can cook despite having different options available. This year we are especially thankful for health, safety, technology, the Savior, and each other.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
